ToonBoom Harmony Scripts for PSD Import & Auto Rig
This scripts bundle contains 3 different scripts,
1) Auto Rig Script - This script automatically creates rig hierarchies & Mask layers based on selected layer names. Naming conventions for layers & Usage are explained later in the description.
2) PSD Import Fix Script - When PSD's are imported into Harmony, layers substitutions are all mixed up. To show only substitutions for each particular layer separately you can use this script. Usage is explained later in the description
3) Set Pivot for all substitutions Script - This Script Forwards the drawing pivot on first frame to the all drawings in selected layer. It also changes drawing layers embedded pivot to apply to parent peg.
How to Install
- Download and unarchive the zip file.
- Locate to your user scripts folder (a hidden folder) for the version of your Harmony.
- Add all unzipped files ( *.js, *.ui (if any) and the script-icons folder ) directly to the folder above.
- Add VK_AutoRig, VK_FixPsdImportSubs, VK_SetPivotForAllSubs scripts to any toolbars.
- This script automatically creates rig hierarchies & Mask layers based on selected layer names.
- For this script to work. layers need to follow a naming convention
- This script was tested on PSD imported assets, where naming convention is applied in the PSD file itself. Give it a try with harmony created layers too and let me know if there are any bugs.
- Naming convention is as follows:
- If you followed the naming convention, then just select all the layers and execute the script, it will generate all the hierarchy and masks needed for the basic rigs.

How to Use Set Pivot for all substitutions script
- If you want all your drawing substitutions to have same pivot position, use this script.
- Select the layers you want this behavior and execute the script.
- This script Forwards the drawing pivot on first frame to the all drawings in selected layer & also changes drawing layers embedded pivot to apply to parent peg.
